The Ultimate Guide to NA-Friendly Wineries
I haven't been able to find a full list of Napa and Sonoma wineries offering non-alcoholic tastings, so I made one 🙌

Okay we need to be so honest: wine country has historically done a terrible job catering to people who aren’t drinking.
For a place built around hospitality, the non-alcoholic option at a lot of wineries has pretty much just been a glass of water served with a side of judgement.
I’ll never forget the first time I overheard a tasting room manager comment to a colleague under their breath, “if they’re not drinking, why are they even here?”…..
I’m sorry, what??
It doesn’t matter what your reason is for not imbibing - whether you’re sober, sober-curious, pregnant, taking a break, the designated driver, recovering from a chaotic weekend, or just straight up not in the mood to drink today - I believe wine country has so much to offer beyond its alcoholic content and everyone deserves the ability to enjoy it.
Wine just happens to be part of the experience - it’s not the entire experience.
It’s also the beautiful vineyard views, the storytelling, the hospitality, the farm-driven food, and the memorable conversations with loved ones on a patio, basking in perfect weather.
Additionally, the sober-curious movement, rise of mocktails, and decrease of alcohol consumption is not a trend. It’s reality, and the longer wineries avoid adapting to the times and evolving to meet consumer needs, the harder the hit will continue to be.
Thankfully, we’re starting to see a shift and I’m thrilled wineries are beginning to create more inclusive, non-alcoholic offerings!
Even though I work in wine for a living, I actually don’t drink very much and will probably order a mocktail or NA offering 50% of the time if I see it on a menu. So selfishly, I’m stoked about this kind of progress!
I’ve have compiled a list of spots across Napa, Sonoma, and California Wine Country with thoughtful NA options, like botanical cocktails, house-made spritzes, or teas, and will continue to keep this list updated as I learn about more.
And if you know of wineries with NA offerings I didn’t include, please drop a comment so I can add them to the list!
